Bike excess or bike deductible applies when you are involved in a bike accident caused by you. It is also applicable if your bike is damaged and the responsible party is unknown. 

If it were approved that the bike accident is not your fault, the other party would cover the cost of your bike's damages, and you won't have to pay anything.
